A new home for indie comics and manga
New Canon is a curated platform for indie comics and manga, open to every creator,
with a focus on creators of color. We're building it now. Here's what's planned.
For readers
- Every series reviewed. Each series will be checked before it goes up, so you're not digging through a pile of rushed uploads.
- Try before you pay. Every series will have a free sample, usually the whole first chapter.
- No ads. Just the comics.
- Read anywhere. It will work in your browser on your phone or computer.
For creators
- You own everything. Your characters, story, and art stay yours. Leave anytime and take it all with you.
- Quality first. You'll apply with a few finished pages. Applications aren't open yet.
- New Canon Spotlight. We'll feature series that deserve more readers. It's an editorial pick, never an ad, and never sold.
- Founding Creators. We're hand-picking our first group. Join the list as a creator to hear first.
Tapas closes in March 2027. If your work lives there and you're looking for a new home,
write to us at creators@newcanon.ink.
